Gorona del Viento El Hierro, in compliance with its objectives and within the framework of its corporate policy, has obtained the certification of its Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety at Work Management Systems for all its activities.
Today, Thursday 9 May, the director of AENOR in the Canary Islands, José Luis Mataix, has delivered the certificates to Belén Allende, chair of Gorona del Viento. With these certifications, the company reinforces its commitment to quality in its management, protection of the environment and the health and safety of its workers.
These certifications, granted by the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR), certify that Gorona del Viento has implemented systems that comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards according to world reference models.
The ISO 9001 certificate accredits that the company has implemented a quality management system that is committed to efficiency and continuous improvement in all its activities. Obtaining this seal implies greater competitiveness, more productivity and better management quality.
On the other hand, the ISO 14001 standard ensures the effectiveness of the entity’s environmental management system and the correct control of the impact of its activities on the environment, through the prevention, reduction or elimination of risks.
Finally, Gorona del Viento has obtained OHSAS 18001 certification. This standard establishes the requirements to be met by an occupational health and safety management system so that companies can optimise the performance of their system, as well as effectively control the risks associated with their activities and adopt the necessary measures to prevent accidents.
